Beaches outside Barcelona to enjoy yourself to the fullest

Barcelona is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, it has a variety of tourist attractions that attract thousands of tourists every year, it is very well communicated, making it easy for visitors to get around and it is equipped with all the necessary services. That is why, especially in summer, the city becomes overcrowded, causing many people to be unable to fully enjoy a trip to the beaches to cool off.

For this reason, today we want to tell you about some of the best beaches outside Barcelona, wonderful places perfect for you to enjoy your holidays relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of the city. From the well-known coves of the Costa Brava, the long beaches of the Costa Dorada to small paradisiacal beaches that you will surely want to visit.

Waikiki Cala (Cala Fonda)

This beach, known as Waikiki, was named after the famous Honolulu beach in Hawaii. Located just 6kms from Tarragona, you can go by car until you reach the Torre de la Mora campsite and then continue on foot for approximately 20 minutes, on the way you will find a lot of natural vegetation, forests, cliffs and more, which will make your experience an unforgettable adventure.

Cala Fonda, being a beach of difficult access, is still quite isolated and unspoilt. It is only 200 metres long, its fine golden sand and crystal clear waters make it one of the most beautiful beaches to be found on the Costa Dorada.

Aiguablava

Aiguablava is considered one of the most beautiful and paradisiacal beaches in Begur. It is located on the Costa Dorada and is popular and well known thanks to its turquoise blue waters, the vegetation that surrounds it, fine sand and its shallow shore, ideal for families travelling with children.

Cala Treumal

Similar to the beaches already mentioned, we can also add this beautiful cove to our list of beaches on the Costa Dorada. It is located on the border separating Blanes from Lloret de Mar. A dreamy little corner with calm, shallow and transparent waters, it is surrounded by extensive vegetation and cliffs that are sure to attract your attention. It has all the necessary services such as: showers, toilets, lifeguard, and a small restaurant that offers incredible views.

Beaches of Sitges

The town of Sitges is located on the Garraf coast, just 35 minutes from Barcelona by train. A very busy and visited destination, it has 17 beaches ranging from the busiest ones right on the seafront to others a little more hidden.
