The Terramar route in Sitges was promoted by Francesc Armengol i Duran with the first project of the city, the Gardens of Terramar. Mansions of the early 20th century

The urbanization of the area of ÔÇïÔÇïTerramar began in 1918 and was inaugurated in the spring of 1933. A place where to admire great architectural works, where most of the mansions that we will find were built by the architect Josep M┬¬ Martino y Arroyo.

“Autódromo Nacional de Terramar”

The third permanent Circuit of Automobile competitions of Europe was constructed in the Terramar route in Sitges.

It was designed by Frederic Frick Armangué and Jaume Mestres i Fossas. It was built with only 300 days and was inaugurated in the spring of 1923. This circuit is 2 kilometers long and is oval in shape.

Thanks to all this, Sitges became one of the main centers of Catalan Noucentistic architecture. A place that every lover of art and beauty should visit.
