Discover the Garraf Natural Park

 

With an area of more than 12,000 hectares, the Garraf Natural Park is one of the most important natural parks in Catalonia.

For nature lovers, the park is the ideal place! Its landscape combines the white of stone with vineyards. You will discover the Mediterranean fauna and flora!

To discover all its wonders, the park offers you different itineraries! You can do the different routes by bike or on foot. It is offered different levels. The proposed routes in the park are marked and pass through different parts of the park. It is strongly recommended, before starting your trip, to visit the park office. It is located in the Pleta farmhouse dating from 1894. You can also rent bicycles, equipment adapted to your excursion and information on wildlife routes. It is strongly recommended to wear appropriate shoes and have a bottle of water. Do not forget to hydrate regularly, especially during the hottest periods.

 

Low level :

Camino de las costas (GR 92)

With a duration of approximately 2h30, come and discover the different species typical of the park while enjoying the sea view. This route is composed of paths and roads. To get back to the starting point, it will be necessary to redo the path in the opposite direction.

Artistic itinerary of Vallgrassa

It lasts 30 minutes. This is a unique itinerary that allows you to meet artists. This tour is to be done for art lovers or for those who want to discover this universe.

 

Botanical itinerary of La Pleta

It is a 40 minutes itinerary. Visitors will discover 33 species characteristic of the area. Benches have been installed during your trip so that you can rest. The road is approximately 1,300 metres long. The first 650 metres are adapted for people with reduced mobility. It is therefore accessible to people with a wheelchair. In addition, the itinerary includes signs written in Braille. Then, visually impaired people can also follow it. The route begins in La Pleta, a modernist farmhouse built by Francesc Berenguer and the former hunting lodge of the Güell family.

 

Old Castle of Olivella (SL-C 100)

This route is less frequented but it worths to see it. The path will take you to the old castle of Olivella from the village. It is a real discovery for photography lovers. The itinerary starts from the old town of Olivella to the mountains. This itinerary offers beautiful views of the village and its surroundings. It is recommended to do this route in spring because of the flowers you can see. The safareig, the ruins of the castle or the cave of Muntaner are very interesting places to take beautiful pictures!

Sensory itinerary

Proposed for the visually impaired. This excursion lasts about 9 minutes and stimulates the senses, such as hearing and smell.
