When it comes to gay pride Sitges is a place that has a lot of ideas to offer. It is one of the most renowned areas of the country, as it has regular gay-themed parties. And of course, Sitges has prepared a big party to celebrate gay pride. It consists of 5 days (from 8 June to 12 June) full of activities in what is known internationally as Sitges Gay Pride. We start with the kick-off on Wednesday 8th June, with the Dragnation performances, where Mary Mac and Lady Diamond will be performing in the Gay Village, which will be the epicentre of the Sitges Gay Pride Festival.

On Thursday 9th June we have one of the main events. The main event is a tribute to Brittney Spears, where the American artist’s greatest hits will be performed, including costumes and dances. There will also be an after party after the show.

Friday 10 June is known as “the white night”, where everyone dresses in white and donates to Sitges artists and foundations. The whole afternoon is filled with shows and concerts until the main event, in this case another legendary tribute to the Californian band Black Eyed Peas, which will once again fill the Gay Village. Of course followed by the party which will end in the early hours of the morning.

On Saturday 11th June, we will be paying tribute to the Florida band, the unique and incomparable Back Street Boys. Pure spectacle accompanied by choreographies and a review of all their musical hits. This will be followed by the “massive party”, which is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Sitges 2022 Gay Pride Festival.

However, if there’s one day where you can’t miss the event, it’s Sunday 12 June. This is where the traditional parade of floats known as the Sitges Gay Parade will take place from 5pm onwards along the seafront promenade. Eighties music by dj Mr. Chi accompanies the whole parade, and the proximity to the sea means that you can enjoy the more than 20 decorated floats that will fill the parade on the beach. Once the parade is over, the party continues in the open air with the “Post Parade Tea Dance” and ends once again in the Gay Village with a tribute to the Swedish group ABBA, which will serve as the culmination and end of the gay pride festival.
