How to arrive to Sitges during your summer holidays

Discover how to go from the airport of Barcelona to your accommodation during your summer holidays in Sitges.

Sitges is becoming a destination which is increasingly demanded by national and international tourists. The reasons can be very different: from its wide cultural offer till its incredible beaches. Besides, the fact that this Catalan locality is located near the city of Barcelona is very favorable for this increasingly touristic demand.

Nowadays, there are different ways to arrive to Sitges from Barcelona and what we are going to do today is seeing each of them so you can choose without any problem the option that best suits to the necessities of your summer holidays.

The first option would be to go by car. There are different possible itineraries to arrive to Sitges from the airport by car. However, the most advisable is the one that takes the C-31 to pass then to the C-32. This journey has 27,1 km and it takes approximately 24 minutes to complete it. In case you are looking for a rental car for your summer holidays in Sitges, these are some of the most important companies dedicated to offer this type of service: Avis, Europcar, Hertz y Enterprise.

If, for any reason, you don’t have the possibility to go by car, you can also take a coach in the same airport. This leaves from the T1, so if the flight of your summer holidays arrives at the T2, you will have to take the free bus that goes from the T2 to the T1 and then take that coach offered by Mon-Bus.

Another option would be to take a taxi in the same airport to arrive to Sitges. The price, in this case, would be approximately 50€, aspect that becomes that idea into one of the less economically profitable.

Finally, you would also have the option to go by train from Barcelona to Sitges to enjoy your summer holidays. There is no direct train from the airport. So what you will have to do is to go to El Prat de Llobregat and then take the train that goes to Sitges. In case your flight arrives at the T1, you won’t have the possibility to go walking to the train station of the airport, as it is the case of the T2, because it is located 4 km far. For that reason, if your flight arrives at the T2, you will have to take the free bus that connects both terminals.
