Barcelona and its surroundings, such as Sitges, are cities to enjoy beyond the summer season, since we are lucky to be on the coastal coast and enjoy a Mediterranean climate throughout the year. And it is that the climate stands out for being mild and temperate in winter, and providing sun rays in the middle of December.

Catalonia stands out for its Christmas spirit and, that is why, we can enjoy a multitude of Christmas events and fairs scattered throughout the Catalan territory.

Barcelona and Sitges are two cities not only to enjoy them during the summer, since they have much more to offer besides their beaches and beautiful villas.

 

Sitges Christmas Festival

The Christmas crafts fair Sitges Christmas Festival, organized by the Spanish Patchwork Association, is the first craft and Christmas motif fair in the entire Spanish State, following the trend of other major European cities such as London or Paris.

The Sitges Christmas Festival offers Christmas-themed products of Patchwork and Scrap, finished, semi-finished and to elaborate, in a proposal of creative leisure.

Almost 60 exhibitors will show the latest news.

As every year, the fair will be located in La Fragata Beach, below the Church of La Punta, next to the sea, in a tent of almost 1000 m2 transparent, where the exhibitors will show the latest trends in the world of creative leisure , with countless ideas, proposals and Christmas crafts.

The Sitges Christmas Festival will open in the transparent tent of La Fragata beach, Friday and Saturday (November 29 and 30) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday (November 1) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (provisional schedule).

Festivalet Barcelona

Festivalet is an independent fair of products made by hand or manufactured on a small scale that is held every December in Barcelona and that over time has become an important reference in the sector.

The fair is divided into four sections: craft area, gastronomy area, materials area and bar area.

Festivalet is an ideal event to buy original and unique Christmas gifts. You can buy them directly from their creators, who come from all over Spain and other countries. In addition, it is celebrated in a historic building in Barcelona as the Maritime Museum, a clear example of the Gothic civil architecture of the city, which began to be built in the 13th century.

Mercado de Navidad Can Alemany

Can Alemany is a sixteenth-century Catalan farmhouse located in a rustic setting, just 10 minutes from Igualada.

Saint Lucia Fair

The Santa Lucia Fair is a fair of handicraft products and elements typical of Christmas parties that has been held since 1786 in the Plaza de la Catedral de Barcelona.

Each year, more than two hundred stops fill the Pla de la Seu and the avenue of the Cathedral, with a wide variety of products.

The fair is installed at the end of November or beginning of December (always before the 13th, St. Lucia’s day) and is maintained during Christmas days.

Capones and Birds Fair
